This 3-bedroom apartment was in a prime position, well equipped and had great views over one of the main ski slopes. It lacked a proper dining area and an outdoor balcony was converted into a new cosy living area overlooking the ski slope. This required extensive engineering for the rugged Alpine conditions and the soaring ceiling height gives it a wonderful sense of space.
A striking mix of light and dark colours have been used throughout and textures from bronze, timber, cowskins, fur, leather, work well with new custom furniture items. Lighting is one of the most important aspects in an interior. Custom timber wall brackets were made to tie in with the table, bench seats and sideboard. Electric candles are timed to come on in the dining and living areas as the sun goes down. These create a beautiful, subtle, and soft ambience. It has a wonderful pared-back elegance, cosiness, and warmth for the winter months.
